My Philosophy

A church is a holy space, and I treat it that way. Before I ever raise a camera, I’m thinking about where I can stand, how close is too close to the altar, and when the priest needs quiet, uninterrupted space to carry out the service. As an Orthodox Christian myself, I understand the rhythm of the ceremony, where the important moments fall, how quickly they can move, and how to be present without ever getting in the way.

I’m not there to direct the day. I’m there to witness it. The godparents standing beside the family, the quiet moment just before the blessing, the priest’s hands at the font, these aren’t things I stage, they’re things I wait for. What you’re left with isn’t a set of posed photos, but a true record of something sacred happening in your family’s life.
